Eight Wildcards. Two already known.

Hugo Gaston has received the French reciprocal.
Marcos Giron has won the USA wildcard challenge based on points in certain American fall challengers.

The Asian-Pacific nomination goes to the winner of a pre-qualifying tournament. It seems that it's already in the final and its Jason Jung v Tatsuma Ito for that.

There is a 16 man Australian tournament that starts this week. A. Bolt, A. Harris, M. Purcell, B. Mott, A. Vukic, H. Bourchier, J. Smith, L. Saville, M. Banes, D. Kelly, J. Grills, T. Fancutt, R. Hijikata, T. Schoolkate and two more make that 16.

After that there are four more at the federations discretion for the remaining and eight more to give for qualifying as well.

Giron is 102 in the ranks, so he will be in the MD anyway (if it won't be 3+ protected ranking players in the field), so probably Mmoh will replace him as a WC, won't he?

"Giron moved up to a career-high ATP ranking of No. 102 with his title; in the likely event that he earns direct entry into Melbourne, second-place finisher Michael Mmoh will get the wild card."

The real question here is: will Bernie get one?

I've heard he's running out of money which only means his motivation to do well in the Ozzy Open will increase dramatically.

Will Murray get one? I see he's at 128, would need one to get into the MD. I can't see him having to play qualifying again.
