2020 is shaping up to be a fascinating year on the ATP Tour. Below are some of the key storylines that I will be following next year. What other storylines are you most interested in for 2020?

Key Storylines for 2020
1) Will the Big 3 (Nadal, Djokovic, Federer) continue to dominate the Grand Slams and win all 4 or will we see a 1st time Grand Slam winner?
2) What will the Grand Slam tally look like at the end of next year? Currently, as everyone knows, it is 20-19-16 (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic).
3) Will Dominic Thiem win the French Open or will Nadal win his 13th French Open?
4) Will Andy Murray play a full season and return to the Top 10?
5) Will Del Potro be healthy and return to the Top 10?
6) Will someone outside the Big 4 finally break into the Top 2 rankings (no active players outside of the Big 4 have a career high ranking of better than #3)?
7) Who will finish the season as #1?
8) Will FAA crack the Top 10?
9) Will Jannick Sinner (currently aged 18 yrs 3 mths) crack the Top 20 at a younger age than FAA was when FAA cracked the Top 20 (19 yrs 11 days)?
10) Which players born in 1984 or earlier (aged 35+ at the end of this year) will retire from singles on the ATP Tour? Possible players include Karlovic, Federer, Lopez, Lorenzi, Mahut, Garcia-Lopez, Verdasco, Kohlschreiber, Seppi, Soeda, Jaziri, and Simon.
11) Which players born in 1996 or later will have the best season? Possible players currently ranked in the Top 30 include Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Zverev, Berrettini, Shapovalov, Khachanov, de Minaur, Auger-Aliassime, Rublev, and Coric.

Great post, lots of mouthwatering storylines to come next year. Should be really exciting. I was enthralled by Thiem v Tsitsipas as a matchup, hope to see them play quite a bit next year!!

Feel like the WTF have really delivered this year and sets up a potentially great 2020

2018 felt the same iirc but for different reasons and didn’t really deliver.
