Even as a hardcourt tennis lover I am really excited about the 2012 clay season and its just around the corner.

Can Djokovic win the big one in 2012?

Can Murray improve on or even equal his great strides on his so called worst surface in 2011. He almost beat an outstanding Djokovic and looked really good in his French Open semi vs Nadal at times.

Can Federer do something and win a clay tournament at 30+ years of age?

Could RG end up like 2009 FO really unpredictable, maybe with a surprise finalist?

Can Berdych resdiscover his 2010 FO form?

What can guys like Lopez, Dolgopolev do?

Can Isner bring his massive serve to fast clay and make some inroads?

I am really looking forward to this clay season.

Can Nadal get his turf back in the clay masters and win some of these again?

Nadal lost his turf?I thought he won RG last year
yeah really. at least brainwashed Djokovic fan Saberq can be honest about things. who truly writes a fireside chat in which they are considering Nadal not an obvious very likely denomination.

Re read what I wrote.

His turf in the CLAY MASTERS.

He used to be pretty much a shoe in for the 3 big clay masters titles. Djokovic took that turf off him in a big way this year. He dominated him at those events.

Nadal, whilst obviously RG is the big one, will be very keen to get his turf back at those events. Its not good enough to just win RG for him, he wants all those clay titles as well. And he wants to take them back from Djokovic himself.

Rafa and Nole will dominanate, Verdasco will self-destruct at at least one clay event, Federer will choke somewhere, Murray will reach SFs at least twice.

Would be cool to see Federer magically win Monte Carlo and Rome to become the only player to win each MS event (if we count pre-2009 Madrid as Shanghai of course).

But in all seriousness, Nadal should win Monte Carlo as he normally most sharp at this event compared to the others. Barcelona will probably feature Nadal as he does not want to lose any points as much as possible, so I doubt the title will belong to anyone else. I think Federer could take Madrid. It is the best event prior the French Open for him. As for Rome, I think Djokovic will defend his title.

As for Roland Garros, I do not think Nadal will win it. Obviously he is the favorite, and the odds favor him, but I have a feeling that winning his 7th one next year might prove to be too great.

Oh can't forget Estoril and Nice. Sampras will come out of retirement and win both of them.
