Congratulations to Ruud for finally refusing to bend over to Nadal. Ruud should never lose to a guy like Nadal off clay.

Let's hope he continues to want to beat Nadal in the future.

:spit: It was certainly in the contract that they need to split some of these wins to keep things "interesting" for future matches. Also the trophies look the same so they made sure to do it at a time when Casper couldn't get a bigger better one.

Nadallooks so happy. Being GOAT with slam record is likely why. What a wonderful year. Bet you loved it as well as you must be a committed Nadal fan watching his exhibitions the past month

Unfortunately RG 2021 SF was likely the GOAT decider, a 2 slam swing there, with Novak ending Nadal's realistic hopes to finish atop the slam race. If the gap were 3 now (it would be if Nadal won RG 2021) then it may be too much for Djokovic to surpass. As it is now, Djokovic heavy favorite to win the slam race. Even a rough COVID political year leaves him just one behind looking fresh with Nadal fading physically and Federer gone.

So RG 2021 was decisive, but Nadal being the 2nd best player ever will be a big win for him and his fans.

Anyone who disagrees is triggered.

They both look so uncomfortable with the result

When Nadal wins they are both happy

Ruud usually plays well in altitude. One of his serve aces was at 140 km/h.
Edit: should of course be served at 240 km/h (due to altitude)

Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and Ecuador exhibition matches are so far completed.

On to Colombia and Mexico, next.

Agreed. Ruud is an average player, not even top 5 favourites for Aus open. I don't rate him at all . Honestly this era is pathetic that he has made 2 major finals and a YEC final . This result was just to create some balanced results and competitive ness for exhibition audiences. Still a few cities left.
