Not going to lie this was a heartbreaking defeat from 4-0 up in the decider. After a few swift ones to drown his sorrows, hopefully he makes it to the Dominican.

It balanced out ultimately, he should have been knocked out the round before after being down 5-2 in the 3rd set tiebreaker.

Just found out about this. Been a busy last couple of days for me. Got Brit Jay Clarke next (ATP Ranked 298), they have faced each other twice. Tomic won in 2018 in the 2nd Round of the Roland Garros qualies. Clarke won in the Mexico City Challenger in 2022.
