US Open Qualies arent totally out of reach yet, he is currently alternate #17 with 8 MDWC to be announced that should already bring him to spot #10, but could narrowly miss out just like in wimby where as of the start of the qualifying competition he was alternate #4...
 
It's too late for points earned here to count for either of those tournaments
I know, I mean his current position on the alternate list will probably be enough to get into Winston-Salem Q (lots of players above him will still move into the main draw or play US Open Q or hope to get into US Open Q at least or just withdraw for other reasons) but probably not for US Open Q.

Just found out about this. Been a busy last couple of days for me. Got Brit Jay Clarke next (ATP Ranked 298), they have faced each other twice. Tomic won in 2018 in the 2nd Round of the Roland Garros qualies. Clarke won in the Mexico City Challenger in 2022.
