The latest: Guille is next expected to play at the Nasdaq-100 Open in Miami, Florida(March 23-April 3) and is expecting to be seeded fifth with a draw containing many tough players. Here's the channels to catch Guille on tv: http://www.nasdaq-100open.com/news/pr/news21437.html Vamo's Guille :yeah:

There is an interview of Coria on the website of the Miami tournament!
http://www.nasdaq-100open.com/news/2005/interviews/0323a.html
It sounds a little bit strange, because it's the transcription of the translation, so he's speaking of himself in the third person.
Anyway, it's nice to read an interview of him, in Indian Wells they had only interviews of Federer, Agassi, Roddick and Sharapova, it was so frustrating.

Q. How are you feeling coming into the tournament?
GUILLERMO CORIA: Perfect. He feels 10 points out of 10. He's been working very hard and he feels very good. Also this tournament helps him a lot because he likes it very much.
So perfect, everything is perfect.

Q. What are your memories from last year when you played well but had a difficult time in the final?
GUILLERMO CORIA: Apart from the problem that he had, physical problems ‑ he had little stones in his kidneys ‑ apart from that, he had good memories from the tournament, from what he did last year. That helped give him confidence when he went to the matches in Europe.
Apart from that, he has good memories. There are more Latins here than in Latin America, in South America, so he feels good here.

Q. Let me ask you a question about tennis development in South America. We are seeing so many players coming from Argentina, Chile. Do you feel that the system is better in Argentina now than it was when you were coming up? There are more courts, more coaches, more money.
GUILLERMO CORIA: There are no secrets; it's the hard work, practice every day. That's what takes you up.
He says that obviously the good results of the Argentinian players in particular, that helps the young players to look at them and encourage them to get better. Hopefully there will be more to come.

Q. There's lots of criticism of the federation in Argentina. Do you feel it's gotten better than when you were coming up as a junior?
GUILLERMO CORIA: He says he has nothing against the federation because they helped him when he was a young player. In the case of himself, Nalbandian and Salerni, they helped them to develop their game. He has nothing to say against the federation.
He doesn't know nowadays the way they're working because he has no contact. But no complaints.

Q. I'm working on a story about Joachim Johansson. Have you ever played him?
GUILLERMO CORIA: No.

Q. Never?
GUILLERMO CORIA: No.

Just posted in GM by CooCooCachoo, Guille will play in Rosmalen again this summer! :bounce:

Anna, Zwaan, Simone, shall we try to have another meeting there? Though I do not yet know if I have time, coz of my work placement. But I will go there one day for sure, but it might be in the qualy-weekend instead of on a schoolday

This is what Willie posted when I had the same question about when he is playing next . . .

yes he will, the calendar separates the last clay court tournaments with the pre us open hard court tournys:
between 4 of july and 1 of august are held the last clay tournaments, bastad, sopot, kithzbuel, stuttgart, umag, etc.
1 of august till 22 the hard court pre-us open season, with washinton, new heaven and both toronto and cincinatti masters.
29 of august is the start of the last grand slam, the legendary US OPEN .

as for your other questions, I think we are all equally clueless . . . I really wish he would update his site.

I don't think he will attend next week's tour in Bastad. I have checked that two days before, and I found there is no "guillermo coria" in it's entry list. And the four wildcards are confirmed. so guille will not attend Bastad.

I think his next match will be Davis cup. I'm not sure whether he'll attend Stuttgard or not. but Kitzbuhel and Umag are in the same time. I think he'll be in Umag(coz I find his name in the entry list. After Umag, he'll in Sopot.

That's all I know.

And I'm also confused about his official site, it haven't updated for a long long time. and we can not find his scheduel, his calender, which it's hard for his fans. we always have no idea about his next match. If I want to know whether he attend this tournament or not, I'll go that tour's official site and check the entry list or the news.
