Hasn't anybody gotten to record either of his last two matches? I really want to see them. It's been a long time since Gael was able to string some wins together and these are really two big ones.

No, sorry, I think it's only on TV in Austria, maybe Neely has it?
We don't get the Austrian channels here in Berlin, I can't record it.

Monfils upsets Hewitt to reach final of Hypo Group

POERTSCHACH, Austria - Wild card Gael Monfils upset Lleyton Hewitt 6-4, 7-5 Friday to reach the final of the Hypo Group International.
"This is probably the best tennis I have ever played," said the 75th-ranked Frenchman, who beat Andy Roddick in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Monfils needed only one break of the fourth-seeded Australian’s serve to take the first set. But the 20-year-old needed to save three break points.
Hewitt rallied from 4-2 down to lead 5-4 in the second, but missed a set point when Monfils served an ace.
"For me, that was the decisive point in the match. I knew I would not lose it from there," Monfils said.

Monfils broke Hewitt again on 5-5 and converted his third match point with an ace.
Hewitt converted only two of his eight break points, but is looking forward to the French Open.
"Monfils played the big points better than I did," Hewitt said. "I didn’t get much of a chance on most of my break points.
"It has been a good week for me anyway. I beat three good clay-court players relatively easily, which gives me a lot of confidence for Paris next week."

In l'Équipe today:
Quote:
VINCENT COGNET
He talks again about his life in Pörtschach, he isn’t doing anything all day long – he doesn’t understand the programs on TV, he has nothing to read because he came directly from Zagreb, Pörtschach is kind of a „hole“…
When the journalist tells him it’s a great win because Hewitt was playing so well lately: „Oh, I just did my job, nothing special“. People say to him it was a spectacular match at a good level, but he doesn’t completely realize during the match, he’s focussing on each point. Tarik told him on the phone to do what he feels strong at atm, i.e. the standard rallies from the baseline, and then suddenly change the pace. That’s what he does and since he also served well on the big points, everything worked fine. He got tired in the middle of the second set when Hewitt came back from 2-4 to 5-4 with set point, but was able to recover. He isn’t thinking too much, just working, playing, doing his job.

The journalist also called Benhabilès who means it’s excellent for Gael to be on his own in Pörtschach. It gives him a sense of responsibility. Tarik calls him every day and just says basic things. So Gael doesn’t have to deal with too many different opinions. He makes his mind a blank and that’s the best thing to play good tennis.
Tarik means Gael is determined and people have been too harsh with him. He’s still a kid. Of course, he’s made errors. But who didn’t at 20? He corrected them, kudos to him.

I tend to love the parts on Gael I just want to say we all need to be patient, not only with ourselves but also, or more, with the young guys

Yes, it's too bad all the fun gets lost in my little summaries, his expressions always make me smile in French.

for the stats in the second set. He won 6 points only?! And 6 df in the first set, it doesn't sound like a pretty match.
Never mind, it was a good week.
