Re: Kei Nishikori
I got to see Nishikori play for the first time
He's got talent, but to be honest, I don't see why he's hailed as "extraordinary", if that's the right word.
There's a bit of Takao Suzuki there - cracking a powerful shot to allow himself room towards the net. And he has a bit of spin, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But I just think his height will continue to be a disadvantage because (1) it's more difficult to cover the net, and (2) hard-hitting at the baseline could mean injuries.
Still, he's shown more promise than most other Japanese prospects. It'll be interesting to see how he and Go Soeda develop their careers

Re: Kei Nishikori
Some good luck for Kei. After failing to qualify for Seoul he got in as a LL and made it into the 2nd round.
(LL)Kei Nishikori (JPN) d. Rik de Voest (RSA) 3-6 7-6(3) 6-0
Next he plays Crazy Dani.

Re: Kei Nishikori
Kei defeats Yani in a tough three-setter and advances to the quarterfinals.
His next opponent is Ramon Delgado.
