Re: The poker thread
Ivey is world class for sure...
Him folding his pocket kings on a that rag flop in HSP vs Booth's shove was awful though

yeah it was not a great move, but honestly i dunno if i would not do the same it was too little in the pot with Booth raising 300 K, he did have the best hand and yea u dont like to get bluffed on t,if ivey would have invested a lil more earlier he definitely would have called or went all in, i remember even kaplan advising Ivey to throw his hand away,
Booth was looking for some tv glory i guess
all in all we saw not enough phil ivey on HSP, 3 episodes if i remember right

Re: The poker thread
Yep, we didn't see him enough and he didn't have to play big pots...
On that particular hand (KK), Booth exactly put him on a big poker pair and thought his shove would make him throw it away (which Ivey did)... Ivey didn't know Booth well enough to risk his stack on that spot... I'm pretty sure it would have been an insta call vs the likes of Farha or Patrik though...
That said Kaplan is a nit, he'd fold pocket queens preflop vs a 3-bet

Re: The poker thread
Some thought Ivey threw his hand away because of the size of the pot... That's bs, Ivey never plays scared money, he doesn't mind playing for hundreds of thousands bucks online every day 300k$ just means 2 or 3 buy-ins at his stakes...

Re: The poker thread
Yup he ***** him for quite some millions
I like to watch him on his private heads-up tables on full tilt. Win (or lose) hundreds of thousands dollars in minutes is insane... But highly entertaining

Hah, I also have Poker Stars, but for some reason I am having trouble starting the program....
It's some e-mail problem I think, so as soon as I fix it, I'll let you know so you can tell me which room you play in.
Gotta warn you, I'm very good (about half the time)
