I hope Greenstein can take it down. He's a really strong player although I think he prefers cash games over tournaments.

Deeb took down the Frenchman HU... Well done Freddy

"Freddy Deeb is the new Iron-Man of Poker! After five days of play, ending with a final table that went 341 hands and lasted more than fourteen hours, Freddy ended up with all the chips. He wins one of the most coveted titles in poker, a gold bracelet, and a whopping $2,276,832 first place prize. Congratulations Freddy!"

I just watched again the ME 06 final table... Sick how Gold ran good, he hit every single flop, numerous suckouts... Cunnhingham almost everytime took the right decision, made huge laydowns and got knocked out on a flip against the luckbox who called his pre-flop all-in with KJ off-suited..

The WSOP ME has just ended (phew, exhausted, I just stuck 16h on the livestream).

The new Word Champion is: Jerry Yang

He had an amazing run in the final table, walking on water throughout this 7th day... Very loose aggressive play, and got lucky when needed.

Another journeyman world champion though

The online poker world is insane...

Almost every single month you see young guns pop up and play at the highest online stakes.

There are tons of Scandinavian top players who just turn 18 and can legally play the game... And they're destroying the game...

Old online players such as Hansen, Benyamine or Townsend are having hard times with those young fearless players... I hope they're managing their bankrolls wisely enough not to get broke soon...

An example of those young guns is Kaibuxxe on FullTiltPoker (a 19 years old Austrian guy), the guy is up over 2,5M$ within the last month (more than 80 buy-ins ) and is destroying the high stakes PLO games...

I wish I could be that talented and make an easy living out of poker...

Yang got really lucky not to lose it at the end. He had a 3-1 chip lead coming down to the final four and almost blew it by raising Kravchenko and getting burned each time.

Frenchies are known to be chokers in sports and yesterday's Barcelona WPT was no exception. A new young French gun failed to win in spite having a 4-1 chiplead once the HU began... He managed to outplay the final table (aggressive play, busting out Gus "the great Dane" Hansen along the way) and choked when it mattered most.

The best poker TV show "GSN high stakes poker" is starting to go nuts. The min. buy-in this season is 500k$ no less (biggest TV cash game ever). The line-ip is great with Brunson, Greestein, Farha, Antonius, Benyamine, Gold, Esfandiari and Laliberte (billionaire, owner of the "Cirque du Soleil", supposed fish). The first episode has already seen some big pots, one of those made by Benyamine who bluffed out Gold-self-proclaimed-best-bluffer with 72o for a big pot and Laliberte is running good, catching cards and winning a few decent pots...
