Well Sam had his two best wins in a while over Falla and Anderson in Memphis, but lost badly in the second set to Stepanek there after having chances to win the first set and not taking them. So, he still has some game but his progression back to his previous level will obviously be more gradual.
Do or die time for Sam as he's defending 135 points in Indian Wells and Miami. Not defending the points means no more top 100 and potentially no MD at the French. Let's see how much Brad Gilbert's tutelage helps Sam going forward.
