I'm gutted for Andy.

It's always tough to lose a match when you serve for it, especially in your first ever ATP final.

Nevertheless, congrats to Andy for a great week.

Excellent performance from Andy in his DC match against Gilles Muller he won 6-1 6-1 6-4 and if he and Starace can add the doubles, then he can fly out for Kitzi on Sunday.

Italy won their DC tie and now it's onto Kitzi.

Just hope Andy can get used to the clay and read LaLo's serve.

Default Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

Seppi now plays his occasional practice partner Ferrero.

Funny match with LaLo winning 5-7 6-0 7-6 (3). Seppi started off very well and hardly made any errors and took a 5-1 lead, then they go off for rain and then loses the 6 next games.

Seppi refocuses and plays some tennis and wins the 2nd set 6-0 and then in the 3rd both were hardly troubled on serve until the breaker and then from 1-3 he wins the next 6 points.

Tougher than it should have been.

Excellent win for Seppi over Ferrero.

Tight 1st set where they swapped breaks and then Seppi continued his great streak in tiebreakers and then he had a lapse and Ferrero was too solid and took the 2nd.

The start of the 3rd was the key where Ferrero had break points and Andy saved them and then converted his on the next game and had the match from there.

Now he plays Fognini in the next round.

Good to say another win for Andy he defeated Fognini 7-6 7-5, it was a solid performance and didn't really look like he was going to lose and that is a rare feeling these days.

Got the late break and served it out comfortably as well, now he either plays the geek Mayer or his friend Starace.

Well, he lost to Starace 1-6 7-5 7-6(7) in the QF.

Andy served for the match at 6-1 *5-3.

But he came back from a break down in the deciding set which was good to see.

Das ist aber Schade. With one more win he would have had an SE spot for Sopot. Will he still try to play the qualifiers? I guess he'll have to arrive tomorrow already.

Andy isn't playing the qualies in Sopot, he will have to wait and see if he gets into MD or not.

Well he has had a very good couple of weeks so maybe a rest and training for hard court season is not a bad thing. Finally Andy is back to the player we knew he could be.
