Re: Nico in Acapulco will receive our support and will win the title
I know - Gaston has a shitty draw too!!!
What Nico needs to keep in mind is that Monaco will be tired - if he goes. And that Monaco lost a match in Argentina and would have been out right away if it hadn't been for RR. Nico is fresh - he needs to run Monaco around the court until he drops.
Let's hope Monaco drops out though - confidence is often worth more than talent - especially since Nico has no confidence right now.
VAMOS NICOOOO - STAY POSITIVE!

It couldn't be worst (maybe Horna would have been worst)
But yes, Monaco might be tired

Re: Nico in Acapulco will receive our support and will win the title
No no no.
Everyone has to stop.
Monaco has been ranked low forever before he won BA. And BA was weird this year. Normally he wouldn't have even been in the mix. But all the good guys were out early. And he lost badly early in the tournament but somehow got through.
Nico has to stay positive.
Monaco will be tired. And he probably will leave all his adrenline in Buenos Aires because emotionally he used most of it up today playing in front of the home crowd for the title.
I want Nico to start thinking like Connors and Mac. I want him to have courage again. And get a kick ass mentality with a killer instinct. That's what is his problem more than how he is playing.
He's got to think - Monaco got lucky this week. But his luck is gonna end against ME.
VAMOS NICO! THINK POSITIVE!

Re: Nico in Acapulco will receive our support and will win the title
I think against Lucho it wouldn't had been that bad
Nico has a strong one sided winning H2H
I hope Nico plays at night so then I would be able to watch in ESPN

Re: Nico in Acapulco will receive our support and will win the title
This draw shows why I hate the way tennis does draws. My dad who is a huge sports fan but really doesn't like tennis that much always laughs at tennis because of it.
You have two guys like Nico y Gaston who are seeded who are playing regular ATP guys - not the highest of players but definitely mid-range players.
Then you have Kim, Hartfield and Devilder who are definitely challenger players who are all playing qualifiers.
It makes no sense.
There was one draw last week or this week that I posted that had two qualifiers playing agaisnt each other - and the winner had the chance of playing a qualifier in the 2nd round.
It's bizarre. The only sport that doesn't reward good play.

Re: Nico in Acapulco will receive our support and will win the title
Well with Rafa, I would believe it because they want Fed as #1 - they don't want Rafa there, so I don't trust them.
Nico isn't high enough up for them to like or dislike.
But I will say that it proves the old saying that nice guys finish last. Nothing good ever happens to nice people. Only the assholes rise to the top. So at least we know Nico is a nice guy.

Re: Nico in Acapulco will receive our support and will win the title
If Monaco does play - he'll be tired. It takes a bit to get to Acapulco. It took Nico something like 18 hours last year to go from Brasil to Acapulco. Took poor Kid all day to get there today and she lives in Mexico!
Let's hope for lots of flights delays for Monaco....

Re: Nico in Acapulco will receive our support and will win the title
the bad thing is that Pico beat Nico even in good moments of our olympic hero...
he's 2-1 in the H2H, Pico won in Costa do Sauipe 04 and Bastad 04, Nico won last year in Costa do Sauipe in the SF 7-5 in the 3rd
now Pico is his best moment and Nico is 100% out of confidence

Re: Nico in Acapulco will receive our support and will win the title
Okay...really...enough of this negativity.
This is what has gotten Nico (and Gaston) where they are right now.
Both of them are too negative when things don't work out perfectly. Everything about them screams - we can't win! Their body language, talking to themselves, etc.
TIME FOR COURAGE!!!!
For them and their fans.
Time to stop the "woe unto us" attitudes.
I'm tired of it.
I WANT TOUGHNESS!
I swear if the two of them keep this up, they both suck on grass so I'm going to send them to NFL training camp in June where they will both learn how to be TOUGH!
