Thanks a lot for the updates, Pixie!

Jon lost to Meijer 3-6, 3-6...
He plays Futures in Saint-Gervais next week, against qualifier in the first round.

Thanks for the pics and scores!

Pity that Jon lost two games today (he had to finish his match from 4-6 7-5 4-4)

He's playing for his team at the Interclubs this week-end, he's playing against Ouanna right now.

Some news in the new Tennis Mag - "Comment ça va, J. Eysseric?":

I'll make a summary later.

Thanks Truc, but funny I had the impression that I had read exactly the same things one year or 6 months ago

quite an evidence that Jonathan's carreer has been very stagnant last two years

in the meantime, Rufin did avance very well this year, I hope it will be like that for Eysseric next year

Yeah, that's true, I posted pretty much the same thing just a few posts back.

He's had a virus lately and was very tired, but he's fine now.
The tendinitis of the left wrist hampered him for months, they didn't understand where the pain came from, that's why it took so long to heal, but the wrist is OK now.
He also had a tough time this summer when he left the Team Lagardère and had no coach and no training structure for a while. He is now back at the FFT, in a training group with Dasnières de Veigy, they're coached by Prigent.
He took part in the training camp in Tignes last week and finds it very helpful to get all this support from the coaches and also the other players. He feels off to a good start again.
He needs to be optimistic anyway, even if his confidence and his game aren't back yet. He has no specific goal for 2010, just wants to recover his tennis which has "vanished" this year and to enjoy playing and fighting again.
He's starting from scratch again, he will begin with Futures in Europe.

good catch hangdog, totally missed it !

That was an awful year for Eysseric and losing to Ulihrach and Mutis lately is not exactly good for confidence. Though that's quite understandable : injuries, girlfriend...

There's also a photo on the site hangdog put in the link earlier which makes me wonder whether Eysseric has switched over to a one-handed BH ? If so, that would be another big change but that sounds rather strange especially with the tendonitis he has had this year...

He gets a full page in L'Equipe today:
Quote:

» Didier n’a rien contre Bressuire.
On l’a bridé.

Thanks for this article Truc.
His loss yesterday in R1 at Lille 2-6, 0-6 against Gensse shows that the road will be long before to see him on the main tour. Very long.
