Default Willy in the home of anarchists, St Pauli anddon't get lost in the warehouse area

The great RR format strikes again and Willy won't have time to celebrate his win in Brazil as he has to play Guzman to qualify for the RR phase (gracias Jaite).

If he wins then he will play Lucho Horna and Nalbandian.

Fine performance from the warrior and now it's a straight shootout with Lucho.

Lucho is playing very well, but from what I have seen, Cañas main rival to get to Sunday is fatigue.

I don't want to exaggerate, but he might have come back stronger than ever.

Although it may seem a bit arrogant to quote oneself...

That pretty much described what happened this night.

Lucho played very well, very solid game. He is very confident right now, and is probably serving better than ever. The % of first set was excelent, and it was not like he wasn't hitting his serve hard.
Playing like this, he is the favorite to win it all.

Cañas gave everything he had. Battled through cramps, and fought until the last ball. Fatigue was an issue tonight, and he will have his well deserved rest.

Now, that he is out before the quarterfinals, will he go to Acapulco?

It was really moving to watch the demonstrations of love towards Cañas, he got his share of big ovations tonight.

I guess it's better this way...Willy was probably worn out...so he should definitely rest a bit...cool enough he lost in Buenos Aires and he doesn't have to travel much to be at home...
Enjoy while you can Willy!!!...you gave a 110% as usual!!!

And congrats to Lucho!!!

Cañas:

"I'm very mad because of being out in Buenos Aires, but well, I already accapted it. I want to recover fast physicaly to go back to playing in a good level."

"I was very tired before going into the court and I felt it much more after the first set. He played a great match and to beat him I had to try more things, but it became difficult to me because of the physical thing."

Thanks for that translation and I think Willy needs some rest and might turn up in Miami.

No Indian Wells For Willy?

He has played a lot of tennis early in this year so waiting till Miami may be a smart decision.

I would much rather have him 100% and ready for Miami and hope for a nice deep run in Miami.
