Re: Andre Agassi Cheering Thread!!!
Andre going for an unprecented 7th (!) title in Miami and his 17th (!) Tennis Masters Series title. It would be 4th Miami title in a row.
2001 --- defeated Jan-Michael Gambill in final
2002 ---- def. Roger Federer
2003 --- def. Carlos Moya
Also has potential to reach 800 career wins there. He currently has 796.
GO ANDRE!!!

Re: Andre Agassi Cheering Thread!!!
Yeah, I would want Andre to go far in this one as well. Hopefully he can at least make the finals.

really? did Andre miss an important overhead during his match against Federer in Indian Wells? I didn't notice that.
I know he did not successfully convert a very important high volley (he had to smash the ball unreachably away, but got passed by Federer then) during his round robin match against Federer in the 3rd set tiebreak at the Masters Cup in Houston.
So, was there a similiar thing in Indian Wells as well?

I'm assuming Fumus is referring to the point with Andre serving at 4-4, 40-15 in the third set last week. Actually it was somewhat similar to the point you are talking about (match point of the Masters Cup round robin, right?). I don't think it was an overhead, but another high volley in almost exactly the same part of the court. It looked like the volley was sufficient, but Federer was SO fast, he go to it and went for the pass, not crosscourt this time, but down the line, surprising Andre (and everyone else, lol). Andre got his racquet on it but the ball just sat up, and Federer smashed a forehand to win the point. Fed went on to win the next three points and break.
Not that I want to dwell on it, but you asked...

Re: Andre Agassi Cheering Thread!!!
Good luck Andre or 'Old Master' as Drysdale called him last week in his match against Fed. 'Young Lion against the Old Master'
