No wild card for Ginepri. The winner of a four player round robin competition will receive the wild card. The four players: Isner, Levine, Odesnik, and Kuznetsov. It will be held Dec. 18-20.

It still seems likely to me that Inser will get in directly. He only needs two players to withdraw. If Isner wins the competition and then gets in directly, I guess the second place finisher will get the wild card. |

Nice to see him doing so well, he seems like a good kid. He and Berankis (Fed's other hitting partner during the Dubai trip) have been tearing up a storm lately. Levine's been winning challengers left and right while Berankis did a late season surge to get the #1 junior ranking. That must make Papa Fed feel proud.
It's a shame that he's so short though, he's only 5'8! I'd hate to see him put at a disadvantage because of his height.

Apparently it was just a 3-player round robin. Isner didn't participate. Here's the link:

The Levine-Odesnik score was 6-4, 6-0. It doesn't sound like Levine has cooled off a bit. He could be a dangerous early round opponent for someone.
The article says that he's going to try to qualify for Adelaide and Sydney. |

Indeed  and everything points to it being thrown together very last minute. I mean I think the playoff is a great idea but if no one even knows how many players were even playing...... yikes

he had all chances until 4:4 in the 1st set, then he began to struggle
but at least a better result than last week
some more improvement during this week and Melbourne can come, hopefully no seeded player in round 1 |
