Re: The Adelaide -I Hate Round Robin - Thread
Well seems they have lots of rain in Adelaide, so when I got up I found JM's match has been delayed and may well not even happen today I have to leave for work now and won't have any Net access at all until after lunch, so just hope he manages to play, otherwise if he wins, he'll have to play two matches tomorrow which would be a big disadvantage. Hope I get home to good news anyway

Re: The Adelaide -I Hate Round Robin - Thread
Well, it's bad news, but SF is a good result anyway. Although, I remember what JM said after winning to Moya in Mumbai, something like he wanted to win the tournament. So, SF is good, but he would have wanted at least to reach the final. But the victory of Guccione is nice, I think the points will be short, and he can take advantage of that situation. But first, Kunitsyn.

Re: The Adelaide -I Hate Round Robin - Thread
Thanks for the schedule Maria. It will certainly be a long and difficult day for him if he wins his first match. I remember reading an interview with Tim Henman once after a similar thing happened to him, and he said it really made him feel tired and affected his concentration for the second match However - guess it's all part of being a top player - there is more to being a professional player than just playing tennis- so JM will have to learn and adjust to all the bad things as well as the good. Good luck to him anyway.

Re: The Adelaide -I Hate Round Robin - Thread
I'm already very pleased with his tournament, QF was what I was hoping, so what happens from here is a bonus. He shouldn't worry about the SF until he gets there, and if he does get to play 2 matches, it will be another test of his character and a learning experience for him, which I'm sure he will be all the better for.
Good luck to Kamikaze!

yes, Rosie! you are right, it is all part of being a top player...and sometime you have good luck and good circumstances, sometimes not. We'll see what happens, cannot wait to see the results.
and jayjay, i think it is good to stay positive as you do.
