As of next week there'll be no tennis left until the Adelaide tournament. So what will you do in the break?

I'll start:
23/12 go to amsterdam to spend christmas with second cousin
30/12 go to dublin for New Year's
3/1 back to amsterdam
5/1 back to uppsala
10/1 fly back to australia, with a 2 day-stopover in singapore
13/1 back in sydney

in between: moping that i wouldn't be going to the sydney tournament

after 13th: watching the AO on tv

This is a perfect thread idea, Margaret

Well, I am not travelling over christmas, but I still have lots of things to do.
I have to work next week, but then I have holidays and only have to work again on 2nd january!

I will do lots of things like bake christmas cookies, I have several christmas celebrations (for example with work, we go bowling there), still have to buy some christmas presents.
I will spend christmas in Hamburg with my family and on New Years Eve I will go to Flensburg (in the North of Germany) and celebrate with some friends, I am sure it will be fun

Margaret, so you won´t have a chance to go to any Aussie tournament when you are back, or? And, how about your Swedish? I am sure you are very fluently now, or?

wow looks like your break would be very busy Birte! well i come back on the saturday of the sydney tournament, and unless tojo or another favourite is in the final and still playing (in which case i'd go straight to the olympic park to see if they have tickets left) i would head straight home. and i won't be going to melbourne either... i think my family would like to spend some time with me instead of seeing me go off for another couple of weeks so hopefully we get good coverage of my favourites on tv.

my swedish is improving bit by bit and i can read newspapers and understand most of it... i don't want to forget it all once i'm back in aus because i would really love to come back here so i've made a new blog: http://margaretgn.blogg.se
it's in swedish so i can practice what i've learnt but i bet it's full of grammatical mistakes if you like you can tell me any mistakes
