Nadal was one of, if the, greatest teenage player of all time

he belongs with Becker, Borg, Chang and Wilander, not these mugs

I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned...

I'm guessing you wanted us to say Gasquet, so I'll oblige and say Gasquet.

If he wanted us to say Gasquet, he would ask who was the best player at 15 years old.

Gasquet almost beat Dull on his favorite surface at 18 years old... He certainly was more promising than talentless Dull!

I very well remembered that match.
Gasquet was completely outplaying Nadal for 1 set and half (only Nadal's incredible defense and mental toughness kept it close) but then, he had no battery left.
It would have been very hard to believe that the best title he would win in the next following 9 years would be an ATP 250.

Or better yet, Which of these players showed a high enough level to be published in a French Magazine at 9 years old

What about Agassi? Granted, the young Agassi had his problems against Lendl. Lendl at 28 and 29 demolished Agassi at 18 and 19. Lendl ended up with a 6-2 h2h over Agassi. This is almost always the story when excellent youngsters face excellent older players: they lose early on and start winning only later, as the older player fades even more.

Let's see, I'm torn here. On the one hand there's Nadal, Grand Slam winner and multiple Masters Series winner at 18.. But on the other hand there's gulbis, ranked at 97 at 18 y/o.

I'm going with Gulbis.

Clearly an agenda thread. The answer is Nadal and it's not even remotely close...

Sorry Gasquet fans, but your fav is not the best in anything - Nadal is the best teenager, Federer and Novak are more talented, Wawrinka has the best 1-handed bh, etc.
Maybe he was the best at the elementary school level, but if he pulled his head out of his ass, and if the French media let him be while he was supposed to develop in peace, he might actually made a progress since then.
