The way I understand this is Gonzalez will play WTC in any case. If Massú doesn't join him some other chilenian will.

Re: Confirmed Teams and Players (updated 4/16/07)
I read somewhere (don`t remember where) that the teams (at least 3 players) will be officially announced on Monday. So hopefully we will get something official about Chile and about Nicolas Kiefer playing for Germany or not.

Re: Confirmed Teams and Players (updated 5/7/07)
only gonzalez?? Should be not too cool for him to play doubles on his own hehe
my guess is that the ATP will allow Massu to play in Düsseldorf instead of Pörtschach because Garcia and Capdeville need to play qualification in Paris

Official: Massu said that will play in Dusseldorf with Fernando Gonzalez...he obtained the permission of Poertschach director...I think that adrian Garcia will be the third player because capdeville want to play rolang garros qualy.

Re: Confirmed Teams and Players (updated 5/11/07)
Unfortunately yes Nico is playing.
And he had to play 5,000 Euros just for the pleasure of doing so.
Nico's my favorite player, but he was insane to do that. I can't think of another player who would do something like that.

Dont feel too bad for him. He will make much more in Dusseldorf.

Less 5000 euros. That's a lot of money. And he shouldn't have had to do it.
If I were his manager, I would have said - no way.
Nico's not the one that needs to play in Dusseldorf - it was Fernando.
So why should Nico pay?
He was crazy to agree to it.
