BTW, I read in a German article that Mayer attended Kiwi's match today and some weeks ago I posted an article where Kiwi said that Mayer deserved his success this year so far and especially at Wimbledon and he was full of compliments about Florian and his good achiemvents.

So putting some pieces together, I guess that these two could have become quite good friends since they got to know each other closer and since Florian is playing on the ATP main tour this year.

LOL. so true! unlucky us. If the German media are as saturated with Kiwi news as the American media are with Roddick, I would think I had died and gone to heaven.

no, unfortunately I have to say that are not too saturated at all
I guess there are by far not as many articles, pictures and stuff about Kiwi in German media like about Roddick in the US

yes, I thought the same and I know what you mean, but actually the unforced error count for ANY(most of all) match seem way too high and I doubt that this is correct, probably another error by the Athens site

Kiwi def. Baghdatis 6-2 3-6 6-3 after 2 hours 17 minutes

that was plenty of hard work and not so easy... I was already a bit scared because I didn't know what to expect from Baghdatis

according to the stats on the site, Kiwi went just 4 of 17 on break point conversions
his opponent was 2 for 6.

but again, I'm not so sure if we can trust the number of unforced errors. They counted 63 for Baghdatis and 47 for Kiwi. That makes together 110 unforced errors in one match
I don't believe that as all matches have such a high count.

BTW, I don't like the next round vs Youzhny at all

Youzhny can be very dangerous for the play of Kiwi, I don't have a good feeling to be honest because I know Youzhny on a good day can play amazing tennis (but also he can play really pathetically on a bad one) and he's the kind of player who is dangerous for Nicolas... Kiwi trails the h2h 0-2 and among one of these lost matches is a defeat of this year in Hamburg on clay.

Also Youzhny is sort of a "German nemesis" since he eliminated Kiefer, Burgsmüller and Mayer in a row in his first three matches at Hamburg TMS this year

I hope that Kiwi has a very good day against Youzhny, because I got the feeling that his match today wasn't the best (he lost serve to Baghdatis twice, Youzhny could punish that even more), but the important thing for today is that he still won even when he probably was not playing his best tennis.

Haha, how did I know that I'd get requests to scan in the Kiwi article!
There is a scanner in my office, I'll try to scan it in on the sly. Hopefully nobody will spot me! I'll try to do it tomorrow. There's a text with it, though, so I can't guarantee the quality of how it will turn out.
