Here's the thing with Johnny Depp. He's BRUTALLY sexy - but only when he looks horrible. Case in point - Pirates of the Caribbean. Gold teeth, dreadlocks, black eyeliner...good GAWD. But 21 Jump Street? Not as much.

IMO, it's maturity. He's in his early 20s in 21 Jump Street. He was 40 when the first Pirates of the Caribbean was out.

I partly agree with that. He also looked super sexy in 'Chocolat' as the unkempt gipsy and in 'The Libertine' as the debauched aristocrat.

But he also looked great in 'Finding Neverland'.

That's part of it, yes. He's certainly improved with age. But I also think his features are more suited to a certain type of roughness. Clean-cut just doesn't work as well for him.

Yes, he looked good in Finding Neverland - I mean honestly, Johnny Depp never looks bad, but the scruffier and dirtier he looks, the hotter he becomes. At least to me, anyway. Maybe it's because there is a part of me that likes dirty. It is what is most appealing to me about Josh Holloway. Dirty with dimples is too much for me to resist.

He caught my attention when he played Edward Scissorhands. I guess that says a lot. But I don't consider him sexy at that time other than a very good actor.
