As far as I know, the whole tournament starts on 8th, but because it has a much larger draw than the usual Masters' event and women play there as well, the first week is mainly made up of qualifiers and some of the lower ranked players. The main draw (which is the equivalent of a normal Masters' Series event) starts on 14th, though our TV coverage here doesn't start til 15th so I hope David gets a late start!

Re: Indian wells
Well I think it'll be very important to win his matches in I.W. Actually I'm a bit worried about his ranking and I don't want to see him outside the Top 10!
Good Luck David!!!

Yes, I know what you mean - weird, - though I must admit that after David lost in Dubai I kind of lost interest in the TV coverage anyway.
Btw - I know this isn't anything to do with Indian Wells, but it seemed stupid to start a thread on it so early, so just thought I'd use this Forum to say I've just found out that David has agreed to play at Halle in Germany as one of the warm-up tournaments for Wimbledon in June. It has a great line-up there including Marat and Roger, - I'm almost tempted to go for a week-end!

Well I'll definately be at Wimbledon Jazz_Girl, but I'll have to think hard abut Halle. A colleague of mine at work is on holiday that same week, so I know I couldn't get time off and could only go there for the final week-end. This means I could well end up buying tickets in advance and then finding David is not playing by that time, so I'll have to work out finances and see if I know anyone who might buy the tickets off me if I end up not wanting to go. There are so many great tournaments in Europe at that time of year and I'm already going to Monte Carlo and the first week of Roland Garros - perhaps I'm just being greedy wanting to have a few days at Halle as well? I just want to see David sooo badly! I really, really miss him!

Besides, the only big player that was left was Federer, the big suprise there will be if he doesn't win, which I don't think will happen.

No sorry I didn't make myself clear. Andy lost in the semi final, in 3 sets against spadea. Spadea is in the final now against Kiefer
