For example, the manager can do that at least one hour after the first match has started and/or everybody had sent their picks. So, with the possibility to check your opponent picks, there are some
advantages:
-- you don't have to wait for the manager to make an update and see what's the situation in the match
-- you don't have to wait for the manager to answer the 'what I need to win?' question
-- you can avoid a loss because of manager's mistake (the manager is a human too - there are a lot of matches and numbers, so calculation mistakes are highly possible)
-- you can avoid a loss because of manager's wrong interpretation of the rules (TB's, CB's, etc. - it's happening lately )
-- you can be absolutely sure that you really lost the match (I'm not accusing some of the managers of changing picks/tb's etc. because of some reason, the important here is that everyone will leave the tournament without any doubt in the authenticity of his loss, and that's a good and important thing, I think )
-- the manager will save a lot of time and work by not answering the 'what i need' - questions and not making frequent updates every time, so he can concentrate on the daily final sheet
and
disadvantages:
--decrease of the suspense (when you don't want to know who'll be the winner until the last match - you just don't look at the Pick Summary)
--one more file to paste in for the managers (still the saved time & work will be incomparably more)
I think it might work!
And just wanna be clear - absolutely no offence against the managers, without them this game wouldn't be possible !

|
I think it is a good idea , the positive is that the managers will not need to do updates until the end of the day and everyone will know that he lost fair

Re: Tennis Tipping Rules and Changes Thread
i also like yemok´s idea. Then everyone could do an update between the matches.

Re: Tennis Tipping Rules and Changes Thread
I don't like yemok idea because it is not any longer game TT but completly different game which already exists on MTF, we should stick non-public way of running TT, imo that is the charm of game

Re: Tennis Tipping Rules and Changes Thread
That "pasting people's picks" thing is to TT just like RR is to the real game. Is trying to destroy it.

But set ratios are already included in TB scoring.

not knowing what your opponent picked is a huge part of this game, making it public will just imo ruin it, and there wouldn't be need for sendin PM to menagers and a lot more work for manegers.........this is just my opinion

I think your opinion is way too airy
You're not understanding neighter my suggestion, nor the set ratio...
and don't feel offended please - this '-- you can avoid a loss because of manager's wrong interpretation of the rules (TB's, CB's, etc. - it's happening lately)' is not only against you many managers have problems reading the TB-CB rules

that means mostly all of the tournaments this year were ruined because if you asked the manager for your opponent´s score he told you.
