It looks like GWH was right and I hate saying, that many people were preoccupied with the thought that Roger was going to play Tim, it seems that some people forgot that both players had to win their matches.

It's not like the WTA where most matches have predictable results, and I would love Roger to win again, but there are no guarantees. I am not going to use that famous cliche about 1 match, ok that's enough.

Hi Rassklovn,

I don't think people are assuming for sure that Rogi's gonna play Tim, but more like anticipating with anxiety especially with the thought of Rogi terrible 1-6 records vs Tim, including one very recently.

But of course as you said, it doesn't necesssarily mean they will meet. Tim is out now, and Rogi has a very tough job ahead today which everybody acknowledged since the draw was out.

Hi rassklovn, as lsy said we are all just so anxious for Rogi to try to break his ducks against Tim asap. We are in no way discounting Marat(we're not that crazy/deluded ), or Bjorkman/Robredo. We know how dangerous they can be, especially Marat. You should read us bitching and moaning at the start of this thread when we found out he will face Marat on first round.

Actually I had and still have doubt whether Rogi will reach QF(not sure how his form is or Marat's), but I have to admit I didn't think Tim will be out before the QF.

Yeah, when I first found out the sucky draw, the only silver lining I saw is he may get a chance to face Tim again, which is great I thought.

Go Rogi! No need to worry about Henman this time! He's been taken care by someone else already!

And Jarkko just got rid of Nalby in straights...

Wow, so far my faves have won: Feli, Tommy, Rafa [altho I like Max but I figured he w be tired this week], and I'm glad Misha beat Guille today, about time! Also Sjeng!

So... it's up to Rogi to win HIS match tonight... now that 2 ofhis nemeses are out of the way...

GO ROGI!!

Rogi beat Maratski 76(2) 76(4) in a tight match! Poor Marat smashed a racquet...

Well, Rogi, it SHOULD be easier now but we'll see... just keep focussed and fight!!

VAMOS HOPP ALLEZ!

phewww...at least he wasn't one of the seeds who fell through at the first round in this tournament.

Go Rogi for your second match!
