I agree. Of course I hope Rogi will defend his title, but it's true that there're many players that I like in Dubai

Yes, he did. have no idea if he said so in Roma...
Maybe his poor English failed him? But I just don't like his words and tone. I agree that if he had been in full health the match would've been more close and tight, but to me the winner would still be Roger .

Thanks Edberg is my timeless hero, he's such an artist on court!
When he's retired, tennis wasn't so interesting no more. I'd been searching for another favorite player who can play as beautifully as Edberg did, then I found Roger and he is the one. Now tennis is exciting to me again

Doesn't look like it. I like the guy but I expected him to fall apart after last year, probably not this rapidly though

No, Rainer *was* in Dubai. He's already lost.

Re: Rogi at Dubai
ya, not sure if I'm relieved or disappointed about Tim loss really...
but of course it doesn't really matter yet at this moment, Rogi is up vs a tough opponent tomorrow.

Re: Rogi at Dubai
I think in the long run, it's better face Tim now then later. I mean, if he meets Tim in a slam, Rogi will probably more nervous playing a person he has never officially beaten yet due to Tim's retirement that game. But if he faces Tim now he probably is less worried and if he wins it would do him a lot of good when facing Tim in slams. But then again, Rogi probably won't face Tim in slams anyway.

henman lost
henman lost to a qualifier. He can't save his ranking this way. too many problems with his mental fitness. It may happen again of course.

Re: Rogi at Dubai
Hi squirrel
*knocks wood* let's hope so LCeh. But with the way Rogi's draw has been so far, I don't have confidence he will be able to avoid Tim in slam. I don't want Rogi to meet Tim in slam before ever beating him properly first. That'll be too much for my nerves. I am a tad disappointed since I have a good feeling Rogi may be able to break his ducks against Tim here.
Ok ok I'll stop looking too far ahead. Rogi will need to get past Marat first. Good luck Rogi, go defend your title! Darn, I really really want to see this match.

Re: Rogi at Dubai
would prefer if Roger played Tim actually, win or lose with every match he will be closer to figuring out what he needs to do to handle Henmans game
