Cool, still a lot to look forward to. Intereseting that he plays Valencia. Even the Spaniards manage to constantly have a hard court event (with the Madrid Masters back then), something obviously impossible for Germany ...

No idea. Maybe they waste too much effort trying to safe the Masters status of the Hamburg tournament, while I think even the 500 series is too good for it.

At least Tommy won the very last German hard court Masters Series event.

Once again Tommy does something different than he writes on his website: He has entered Basel, not Valencia.
Last year I was at the tournament in Basel but probably can't go this year.

Lagardère Unlimited Inks Multi-Year Representation Agreement with #20 ATP World Tour Singles Player Tommy Haas

Lagardère Unlimited announced today that it has inked a multi-year management representation agreement with #20 ATP World Tour Singles Player Tommy Haas of Hamburg, Germany. Haas will be managed by an international team of experienced agents, including Ken Meyerson, to maximize Haas’ revenues.

Arnaud Lagardère commented, “I met Tommy several years ago. I recently spent some time with him this Summer, and we are thrilled to be representing such a wonderful athlete and contributor to the sport of tennis.”

Haas, who currently resides in Bradenton, Florida, spent the first half of 2009 recovering from a right-shoulder injury he suffered at the end of 2008 and started the season at Roland-Garros where he advanced to the Round of 16 and led Roger Federer by two sets before falling in a five-set thriller. Haas followed-up Roland-Garros by winning the Gerry Webber Open in Halle, Germany, where he defeated current ATP World Tour #3 Singles Player Novak Djokovic in the final, and continued on at the Wimbledon Championships defeating world #15 singles player Marin Cilic 10-8 in the fifth set tiebreaker in the Round of 32, Novak Djokovic in the the Quarterfinals before falling to eventual Champion Roger Federer in his debut Semifinal appearance.

‘’I have been a huge fan of Tommy’s for a long long time,’’ said Ken Meyerson. ‘’With my own personal history in terms of management representing Michael Stich, we are extremely comfortable in Germany, and with our sports assets in that market, feel that we can deliver.’’

Haas turned pro in 1996 and has won 12 career singles titles including one ATP World Tour Master Series events. Haas reached a career high singles ranking of #2 in the world in May of 2002.

‘’I have been impressed with what Lagardère Unlimited has done with some of the other clients they represent, and I am eager to get started as althought I live in the States, I am from Germany and feel that their strong presence in my home country was definitely a major part of my decision to be represented by them,’’ stated Tommy Haas.

Lagardère is headquartered out of Paris, France, with their tennis division, Lagardère Unlimited, based out of Miami, Florida. Lagardère Unlimited prides itself on a qualitative, personal approach to managing their clients by offering a comprehensive range of services that meet every requirement for their clients. Currently, Lagardère Unlimited represents some of the best players on the ATP World Singles Tour including Andy Roddick (#6), Fernando Gonzalez (#12), Gaël Monfils (#13), Jérémy Chardy (#33), Richard Gasquet (#48) and former Sony Ericsson WTA World #1 Singles Player Justine Henin.

Interesting. Good news, acutally, looks like Tommy doesn't plan to quit playing anytime soon.

Well, in his latest post on his site he stated that hadn't decided yet which one of the two he wanted to play. Now we know.

Default Re: Tommy news

btw i read this recently, its great how they talk abou tommy and sara
enjoy !!!!

On Monday afternoon, when Tommy Haas was struggling in an opening round match, his fiance, Sara Foster, was following every point intently. She kind of sounded like a coach when she shouted things like "Small steps, Tommy! Small steps" and "Keep loose, keep loose" or when she shook her head in disgust after a double fault. She didn't doesn't exactly paint the portrait of the bored, sleepy, self-promotional tennis trophy-mate.

At Wimbledon, she was criticized for chewing gum during Haas' match--described by the Guardian as "chewing so nervously it looked like she had it all over her nose and ears"--and not looking the role of the say, the model or actress that she is.

"You're going never going to see me wearing lots of makeup, you're never going to see me with my hair done, you'e never going to see me in some little outfit with my boobs sticking out," she said, when I sat down for lunch with her on Thursday afternoon. "I got a lot of flack at Wimbledon for chewing gum! [ESPN analyst Brad] Gilbert gave me some shit. I was chomping it! And guess what? Hey, I was! I'm not there to look pretty. I'm not there to look like the blonde in the box. I could give a fuck."

But you kind of think she would: Her father is a famous record producer, she was listed as one of Maxim's hottest girls, she was one of Vinny Chase's lovers on Entourage and she introduced Demi Moore to Ashton Kutchner.

Instead, she chooses to be unfussy. (She ate an entire plate of bowtie pasta with pesto sauce in front of a reporter with a notebook and a digital camera, for example.) But even if she had some bags under her eyes during Wimbledon--which she refused to blot out with some make-up cake--she looks pretty great anyway.

Starting in 2007, she began regularly attending Haas' matches. She learned tennis. Now, she can practically recite the entire men's draw and size up the strengths of each men's player.

Haas has been a longtime hottie on the men's tour, so we were wondering: How did she snag him?

It turns out, back in 2004, she was at her friend's apartment in the city and she saw Haas on television. She liked what she saw.

A couple of years later, Haas was having dinner with mutual friends. She ran into them. She met him and put two and two together (You're that hot tennis player!). She was moving temporarily to Prague to shoot a movie, and he was traveling everywhere for tennis. They became email buddies.

Tommy, it turns out, was the best emailer a girl could dream of.

"He's very proper," she said. "He never crossed the line. He was always the perfect gentleman. There was never a 'Hayyyy, send me a pic!'"

Well played, Mr. Haas!

This past December, on Christmas Eve, Tommy Haas dropped to a knee and asked Sara to get married. Now she's got a big diamond ring on her hand.

Can we expect a big wedding, with Demi and Ashton in tow?

"It'll be a thing like, 'Hey next Tuesday, should we get a preist here?' There won't be a wedding dress or anything."
