A "chou" is the french word for cabbage.
chouchou has two meanings in french
1st is a little like a favorite (ojito derecho in spanish) Nico est mon chouchou
2nd is a way to call your beloved like honey or baby

ojito derecho ?!?! I still don't get the first meaning of chou .... even with the "ojito derecho" thing wich means right eye

but I got the 2nd meaning so Nico = pumkin = chouchou

I don't call Nico ojito derecho ... I call him mi vida

I found the expression in a dictionary. Maybe, it's just used in Spain.

chou = col, bunuelo

I have to add cabbage and chouchou to my words for Nico. My pumpkin, my bug, my chouchou, and my cabbage!

I'm not sure what I think of my rabbit. I may have to pass on that one.

well don't listen to the spaniards ... their spanish isn't that good just kidding, but actually our spanish is better ... or what do you think girls wich voice do you preffer?? Nico or some spanish guy??

But ojito derecho is really funny maybe it'd be something like "mano derecha"? wich means like the person that helps you a lot or that's always next to you.

oh well the important thing is this

Nico = pumkin = bug = chouchou = cabbage

Nico not rabbit or ojito derecho

Nico for me ... mi vida

hopefully the cabbage or pumkin is okay and I agree with RogiFan to the toad
I know la calabaza is the literal translation for pumpkin and not a term of endearment...

Can't we just call Nico "my little Vampiro"? "mi vampirito"?

I don't like Vampiro. But that's true...mi vampirito...

And hey I just remembered another name I have for him...angelito!

So Nico = vampirito = pumpkin = bug = chouchou = cabbage = mi vida = angelito.

And how could we forget - NICO ALE!!!!
