REVOLUTION
vote #1
the best options, everyone gets to vote, a group of losers cannot end the match 20seconds after it starts.

Thank you for re-doing this. That was very fair of you.

Stick with original 1 vote = 1 game, I like the tennis scoring format.

Re: 2007 Arse Clown Contest voting format. Starting on November 6
I like the simplicity of the 1 vote = 1 game format but I understand those concerned that matches would be over before one gets a chance to vote. Some matches will be very one-sided regardless of the format.

Re: 2007 Arse Clown Contest voting format. Starting on November 6
I voted for the 1 vote = 1 game option. The only real merit to 12 hour system is having an accurate, representative result, but even that doesn't seem necessary for most matches, seeing as scores are often one-sided. I don't see how using a tennis scoring format entails that we're changing the whole system to be like a tennis match. A tally count, although easier, will make things far more dull, in that there won't be any amusing commentaries generated from it, etc.

They are. It's the tennis-equivalents to 'temporary ban', 'permanent ban' and 'getting back one's senses'.

Precisely.
If a match is so one-sided to the point that the poster gets 18 consecutive votes, then it's safe to say that the format won't make any difference.
The tournament will be very boring if the #1 format gets chosen. Instead of thrilling five-setters, we'll get handball-like scores.

Re: 2007 Arse Clown Contest voting format. Starting on November 6
after reading the last 2 posts i'm having doubts again
i think we should have discussed the formats, showing the advantages and disadvantages of each before voting

I like to change my vote to option 2, I see the flaws option 1 does offer up now after reviewing it.
