I still remember the days when Muster was 100kg and living in Australia, drinking every night and smoking.
He got cleaned out in the divorce and now is back in Austria, trying to open an academy in Graz, but not finding it easy.

guys , do u notice like me, that some verrrry successful ex-players did terrible things with their life while others not achieving equal successes ,did better things in real life ?? any explanation??may be these players learnt to practice and deal with real life more than those who were comp. devoted to tennis??

Re: Where Are They Now?
Muster has been quite successful actually in his role as DC captain, and the only problem he is having with the academy is cause of local environmentalists.

Re: Where Are They Now?
Coming back to Daniel Orsanić, he's enjoying tournaments' night life including going to clubs, not letting Acasuso going to Players Party if he loses, playing guitar from time to time at press conferences, having lots of crazy ideas in general...
I can't wait to see him again in few days !!!
Alberto Mancini is Argentina's DC Captain, what everybody knows I guess, especially the Aussies.
I read there was a question about Mariano Puerta. Well, I'm glad to remind he's making his career high at the moment .
The only famous Polish player from the past years, Wojtek Fibak lives in France (however I'm not sure if he hasn't moved to Poland after he was accused of ****) and is a famous paintings collector (and young girls' collector... but now he finally got married again and has a little child). Meanwhile, he does some commentary for Polish Eurosport, based on talking about Federer all the time. Sometimes he just stumbles against my legs at local tournaments What's quite fun

I saw a photo of him at a 2003 charity event. It was the Gullickson event. If you hunt around, you can find the photo of him.

I heard that he was broke as well. That's why he tried his ill-fated comeback in the early 90s.

I really hope Andreas does well now then because even though I've never really been a fan of his, I was a BIG fan of Magnus. I remember when he beat Pete to win the Grand Slam Cup, he played so well that day. It was a great surprise. And then he was great again against Pete in one of the Davis Cup ties. Good to know he's still involved in the game.
I always preferred Boris to Stich. I still like Boris, he's cool.

Why not just speak the truth? Stich is simply more intelligent than Boris. Plan and simple.

I have to agree. Look at Becker, Borg and Ivanisevic both squandering all their vast earnings. In Becker's case, his ex-wife cleaned him out coupled with a business going under left him with a massive deficit. Muster also got cleaned out by a divorce. I assume he never heard of prenups.

Yes, and didn't he take exams to qualify for entrance into university? I remember someone mentioning that when he got to the semis at FO in 1991. Anyhow, Stich was a much more well-rounded person than many of his contemporaries.

Becker was better at tennis because that's all he did. Stich, on the other hand, wasn't so into tennis that he allowed it to crowd out whatever else was going on in his life. That's why he's not front page news in some seedy tabloid or a participant in courtroom drama.
