Gomez coached his first cousin Nicolas Lapentti for a while, and I think he has played on the oldies tour a few times, but I think he is enjoying life in Ecuador.

am i also right in saying that was the period in time where there was like 8 or 9 different grand slam winners in a row? |

I loved that RG final. I was pissed off that Gomez beat Muster in the semis, but he played Muster like a fool in that semi and I had no doubt if Muster won that semi, he would have bitchslapped Agassi around like he did later in the year. Gomez made it up by beating mullet boy in the final.
There was a period when there were a lot of different champions.

Hipfl has had plenty of injuries. He had shoulder surgery then another injury and only played 2 tournaments in 2004 and he had to default from the challenger in Cagliari.
Voinea is still floating about the tour.

Does anyone remember Hendrik Dreekmann? I read this about him today. It's in German but basically he is getting married to German athlete Susan Tiedtke on 28th January, they want kids, and he has own a pizzeria since 2000? (I'm sure that's what it said on my wonderful Babelfish translator anyway.). Congrats Hendrik
