I would like to know about Jakob Hlasek
I remember how pissed I was when he lost the final in Bourdeaux'95 vs a guy from Kenya (??) called Dounbia or something like that in his last chance to get a title ...
And as I talk about him what happened to that guy?? I was sad for Jakob but happy at the same time... I thought that was a tennis miracle, coming from such a poor country and still get an ATP title

Are you talking about Doumbia? Wasn't he from Colombia or something?

Hlasek coached Swiss Davis Cup for a while and Rosset wouldn't play for him. They had some sort of falling out. I found it odd because Hlasek and Rosset had actually played Davis Cup together, including doubles and seemed very friendly with each other.

Hlasek was an arsehole and he used to coach the Swiss Davis Cup captain, but hardly anyone wanted to play for him, then the players revolted and got rid of him. He then went to captain the Fed Cup team and they didn't want him either, cause he was very unpopular.

Yaya Doumbia the Senegalese player who won Lyon. I think he could be living in France, but I am not totally sure of that.

Good to know he's still involved in the game.

I always preferred Boris to Stich. I still like Boris, he's cool.
Why was it a surprise? Magnus Larsson could play very good tennis when in the mood on all surfaces except grass.

I know he could. I just meant it was a surprise personally that day as I wasn't expecting it.

Larsson wasn't scared of Sampras at all and showed that many times when they played a very talented player when he could be bothered.

Magnus Gustafsson is playing racketlon a sport which combines tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis. He was doing some media work for a time.

Jeff Tarango is running a tennis website that offers technical and stuff about the tour.

Sandon Stolle is back in Australia and is looking to work with the new tennis admin in Australia and is doing some media work.

The last thing I heard about Andrew Ilie is that he married a woman from Hong Kong and was looking to be involved in coaching or something like this.

Guillermo Perez Roldan a claycourt specialist if there was one, is returning to the tour to coach Mariano Puerta and before that was living in Italy working at a tennis academy.

I read a couple years ago in my tennis mag an interview of Gaudenzi, he was studying law, so maybe, yes, he finished his MBA. Do you know if it was in law ??
