Re: Which book do you currently read?
For the first time, the whole Harry Potter series. To see what the hype was all about. First book is really good.

At the moment I'm reading The Assassin King by Elizabeth Haydon the final book in a fantasy trilogy.

I'm thinking of reading the Harry Potter series next, despite all the hype I've never read any of them .

Meat Market - Erik Marcus.
Seems I'm not much into fiction.

Re: Which book do you currently read?
A marvelous and peculiar Science Fiction/Baseball fiction book, I found at a thrift shop: If I Never Get Back.
It has a sequel, and ...is much easier than the Canterbury Tales I'm forever putting off reading.

Re: Which book do you currently read?
Well I just finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It was the first time I read that book and it will not be the last time. It is really good.
So I'll be starting Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire later today. I have seen large bits of that one's film version, I hope it will not kill the fun.

Re: Which book do you currently read?
The third Harry is the best IMO. I actually stopped reading halfway into the fifth. Might try again one day.
presently reading : Enchantment by Orson Scott Card
Fantasy Scifi as only Card can write. Sort of a retelling of the fairy tale "Sleeping Beauty" but with a Russian viewpoint. Quite nice so far

Well that is not what I would call a positive review of Harry#5.... But I read so many good reviews about #7 that I'll finish the series anyway.

Re: Which book do you currently read?
You already read the first 3? I mean, I took 2 days to read the last book in English, but you beat me. How many days did you take to read the first 3?
My fav book is the 4th.

I read #1 in one day, #2 and #3 took about 2 days each... Mind you, I'm on vacation and when I start a book that is good, it is really hard to stop. That is why I cannot really read when I am working. #3 was the best so far.
#4 is quite thicker... probably 3 days for that one and the rest that follows. Unless they are really really good. I'll let you know.

It is one of my favorite books I read it though after having seen the movie. And recognizing it for most likely being autobiographical makes it even more interesting. BTW the friend of the Finch kids was in real life Truman Capote.
