Intervention by Julian May. I read it about 2 years back (and the entire series including "exiles") but now it's taken on a whole new meaning

Has anybody heard of http://librarything.com?
It's a site for cataloging your books online - a bit too time consuming for me but the Book Suggestions tool is good. There's an unsuggester too for books you are very unlikely to read, which is interesting too, I guess. Anyway, if you're looking for something to read it's a good place to go.

At the moment I'm reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I'm still getting used to his limited use of punctuation, but I am enjoying it.

My hubs uses the library site for cataloging his collections. He uses it for his blog as well and I believe has scanned in book covers into the site for others. It is a very cool site

Finished reading Bangkok Hilton about an English woman named Sandra Gregory who was convicted to 25 years in prison for smuggling heroin. She spent 4 years in an infamous prison in Bangkok and the rest in prisons in England and this is her story.
Read it in two days, it was quite touching I think!

*edit* Bangkok Hilton is actually the dutch title of the novel, the original title is Forget you had a daughter
