Just read the bit in ACE magazine with JJ talking about Jamie. And now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside!!!

GAH! Thought I'd have snuck in the whole of the USO MxD Semi but it ran out just at the end of the second set!
I think Huber and Murray had a right numpty of an umpire.... but I'm glad that in the presser, that Jamie was a little more diplomatic in saying that he'd rather be playing WITH Paes than over the net from him!

It's just not as much fun without the flirting though!

It's a shame. Although glad it happened yesterday and not sunday! That would have been a disaster. I was rather looking forward to watching him play singles though.

Picked up from the BBC 606 debate.
It looks like Leander Paes will be partnering Paul Hanley in 2008.

I feel a bit down for Jamie - although Paes was always a trial - I guess that Paes decided on Hanley ahead of the trial run.

That being said - I think Jordan Kerr is only a couple of places behind Booty on the rankings and Jamie and Jordan got to the semis in New Haven as a partnership... so it has some potential...

Shame really - as it was Paes that had originally approached Jamie, pre-success/titles for him and Butorac.

I truly hope he has some other hooks coming his way - I think he deserves the plaudits he's been getting from various players (Bhupathi, Huber, even Paes to be fair) about his potential...

well someone went through the top 30 dubs rankings on Andy's webby (Jamie is ranked 31 this week) and he;s basically left with Ullyett, Damm and Santoro above him, and possibly Jordan Kerr a couple of places below Booty I think, this week.
Plus it is possible that despite another first round loss for Booty, he could go higher than Jamie in the rankings.

It's all too sad and he really doesn't deserve this...
