Re: Jamie 'Stretch' Murray thread
Too bad for Jordan&Jamie, but Mariusz&Marcin are great players so it's not a bad loss
Huber *notsure* She acts like such a meanie on court
But they may do well.
Suprised Huber isn't playing with Ullyett again (but then again, they never do that well )
Let's Go Jamie!

Jelana is sure she WILL play with Jamie again, and can't think of a better doubles partner...
And Liezel thinks he's a good combination for her - post Wimbledon performance... so that's pretty good.

Booty and Stretch are seeded 16th and if they come through their first 2 rounds, will be on course to meet Knowles and Nestor in 3rd.

Re: Jamie 'Stretch' Murray thread
Jamie and Liezel are playing today (weds) in the Mixed Doubles first round (against the 4th seeds Santangelo/Hanley)... They are unseeded.

Most definately - AND as well as them rolling the No 4 seeds, the No 6 seeds were also put out, so hopefully they'll have a better match up next time around...
Booty and Stretch up today so that should give Jamie a bit of confidence going in.

If Booty and Stretch ended up winning the USOpen(i know it's a bit far ahead) but would that mean they would qualify for the end of season masters? They would have to stick together!

Re: Jamie 'Stretch' Murray thread
At the moment that may still be possible?
Booty was down to partner Ross Hutchins in Beijing
Stretch to partner Leander Paes in Bangkok and Tokyo
They haven't ruled out re-pairing for the odd tourneys, but I think if Paes and Murray gel well together in Bangkok/Tokyo... then Jamie needs to think very very carefully about what his aspirations are.
There's been differing stuff coming out of Booty over the past few weeks - he's said he was the one who suggested the break, but was surprised that Jamie agreed.
He's also gone on record as saying that he's not in favour of splitting, so to be honest who knows.
Jamie's stock has risen since Wimby - Huber in her blog (despite thinking he was an Englishman with a strong Scottish accent... sheeeesh!) said he was a great player and fun to play with... and it says something that someone of her doubles calibre would agree to play with him.
Paes' record speaks for itself....
Sorry, but why shouldn't Jamie be considering progressing his career at this stage?

Re: Jamie 'Stretch' Murray thread
I was at Booty and Stretch's match today (the last two sets) and they played really well! It's sad that they're splitting.
I'll post my pictures ASAP.
