He played great, except for the second set, that was a disaster, but luckily the there was the third set to save him

I read on the atp website that Nico beat Nadal in Bastad 2003, if he does it again, he's the second player to beat Nadal on clay twice... I remember Nico reached the final in Bastad 2003

It's a shame that trying your best against Nadal isn't always good enough

So true, the score doesn't fully reflect the game. Many great rallies, a couple of really smart shots...a bit sad bout this 2nd set, but anyways, as you said: good to see Nicky fight with top players and good to see him in 3rd rs of big events!
So now Barcelona Q, then Rome and the DC, right? Anybody knows sthg more about his schedule?

I know, the rallies were great. But he did drive me a little crazy with those games where he got like 10 times deuce
And let's not forget he's 10 years older than Nadal
