i think you're exactly right about why bodyguards are needed in bj... not because anyone looks like a terrorist...
i'm sad for you that jc hadn't played in bj. i guess i could sit back and relax, and watch people running after other players, because my fav wasn't there either!!! lol
yes i knew it was shangri-la, it's pretty obvious as they were a sponsor! but i was told that there were a few shangri-la's in bj. yeah it's true it's boring waiting around hotels so the only player i had waited for was my fav, and only at the hotel door one year
so... where are your pics???

Next time ,we should make an appiontment lest we miss each other.
You went on wed(wta),I admire you so much!Because I had to go back to my city on tues night,I missed Vaidisova's first appearance ,and how she can lose that.
How grateful I only know one shangri-la and which is happen to the one players lived!I waited for Vaidisova in hotel twice this year, that made me missing her practice session on monday,I will never do the same thing unless I know the excatly time my fav is on hotel...
I am too lazy to upload my pics,I will do that as soon as possible.

i think players should simply publicise their daily schedules on their website or something saves us time going to wrong places!
that reminds me of something... fans should work in teams. at aus open in 2005 i went with some other fans (mtf members) we text each other messages every now and then, so we were very efficient tracking down players and their whereabouts
so *which* shangri-la? the tourney's over now, do tell

Xièxie. I was also there, these pictures are great, thanks a lot. It was really nice, except for the courts 1 and 2, they were really small and far away from the Center Court.

Re: my china open photos gallery!
the pics so far are ok, but there are better ones coming glad you've enjoyed them!
i like the outside courts... i always like outside courts actually, in every tournament, as long as there are chairs to sit on. bj's centre court is too high up imo, all the lower better seats are corporate boxes, not much fun for everyone else.

Yeah, I noticed that too, that was really strange. Never seen that before. Are so many ticket given to companies or party officials? It really sucked having to climb up 3 floors until you can take your seat.

finally.... someone agrees with me on that!!!
i've counted it and it's more like 5 floors (1st: toilet, 2nd: corporate, 3rd: stairs landing, 4th: balcony, 5th: ordinary seats entry... which is not on the highest level and depending on your seat you can still continue to ascend)
there's a great divide between the haves and have-nots and that's only my humble opinion
the (men's) final with its ticket prices was apparently sold out !!!
