That is really sad for him - he was so excited about it I understand that Cañas has more experience etc, but I personally think it was a bit mean of Mancini to lead Juan Martin to believe he would be asked and then rescind. He would have been better to say nothing than to raise the boy's hopes and then dash them again Juan's still only a kid and it will be hard for him. Ah well - he will have longer on holiday I guess

Juan will be appearing in the prestigious Copa Vilas in Buenos Aires next month. He will play against Tommy Robredo on Friday 7th December as part of an Argentina v Europe exhibition. They played quite "seriously", it was a good match.

Zabaleta and Puerta will play now.

The exhibition will go on tomorrow... I guess the winners and the losers will play each other.

Thanks to everyone for the scores, news, pictures etc while I've been away. Glad to see JM won the exhibition by beating Zabaleta 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 I know it's only an exho and really means nothing, - but young players like JM need to get used to winning if that makes sense - and every win is good for the confidence. thanks, Rosie, i will try to go on December 7 to see the match! shame Davydenko didn't go and he will be replaced by Tursunov...it would have been great to see Chucho-Davydenko match to see what could have been happened if Chela wasn't there...(sorry for my Enlgish verbs!!!!)
