Glad you had fun Jazz_Girl - I'm sorry you didn't see him too - but YES - of course you'll see him in Davis Cup semi - Argentina are going to win the whole thing this year aren't they?

Do you live in Cordoba, Fostin? I agree that David is such a lovely guy - that's why I support him! I've met him a few times too when he has been over in Europe. He is very friendly and always has time for people - I respect that a lot.
yes I live in Cordoba but he is not from my city He is from a small town called Unquillo... Its a nice town in the hills... and Yes He is cool but you know I like Coria a little bit more coz He is humbler than David...

You know it is strange - I've met Coria too and I find it completely the opposite - David always seems to be a much nicer person than Coria when I have spoken to them! Guess it is just the way that people perceive other people!

I find David much nicer too but I guess its just like we said in Argentina "una cuestión de piel". The literal translation will be "a matter of skin" I don't know if you english speaking people have an expression for that... I guess you have I just don't know it.

Hugs.

Actually I'm not quite sure that we have Angelito! Perhaps the only way we would describe it is to say that some people "hit it off" with each other, and other people don't. Maybe with Coria, it is because his English is not good and my Spanish is also not good , so there were obvious language barriers between us, whereas, of course, David's English is excellent so we could converse more easily. If I think of a literal translation of your "question of skin" I'll let you know!

Maybe the translation here would be a "matter of preference", or what you can tolerate? Just guessing....Does that convey the thought you were trying to get across?

Yes, but in spanish is more like some sort of metaphor.
Thanks anyway ;-)

Yes I guess its a matter of the way you perseive the ppl... and I think for english speaking ppl is harder to perseive that from Coria coz He can´t speak english and its a shame...... I think he is always very nice and the way he finishes his matches... I dont know he is very cool.. He has something I like. I really like the way he plays tennis and his personality... Don`t take me wrong but I have seen an inteview with David in a local channel here in my country (from my state) and He was kind of ... I dont know exactly the word... Gossip?? lol but anywayz I think he rox and his tennis is awesome!

Well, from I've seen of Coria, I don't know.

I don't believe, however, that David is a "gossip"; heck, he's the target of all that.

I really don't want to speak in a bad way of Coria but I guess I will anyway...
I met him when he was younger and he wasn't nice at all, maybe he has changed who knows. But last week I went to the Buenos Aires ATP and I was sitting just beside his firends and some of his relatives and believe me they weren't nothing but idiots. All the time they were insulting Coria's rivals and saying bullshits about them, I don't think that's the way of behaving inside a stadium. Truthfully they were really annoying and they behavior were not only bothering me but everyone who was around. During the final even Moyá gave them a disapproving look.

There is a proberv that we use in Argentina that says "Dime con quién andas y te diré quién eres" ("Tell me who you're mixing with and I'll tell you who you are" that would be the literal tranlation).

Once again, and I'm sorry, do you have some expression for that in English?

Hugs.
