Pancevo R1: Borna CORIC (CRO) (7) defeated Luka ILIC (SRB) 5-5 Retired
In R2 he plays Maccari (#189). Good luck to Borna!
Also, he was slated to meet the #1 seed, Vinti (#52), in the QF but Vinti lost so the draw has opened up nicely for Borna. Hope he takes advantage of it.

it is, but it is close to one year, too.
he will move up at 124. spot with this result (he is in the doubles semis, too). next rival is 2 and half year older. if he wins he will be 3rd croat on the list.
he will be atleast 56. when generation 1993. drop down from the list. and first croat in 3 years older competition (3 years because he is amost born in 1997). that ranking should be enough for MD of AO. if he make a final he will be top 100.

6:2, 6:0 today. he will play vs 4. seed konstantin gerlakh in semis. he lost in doubles. he will be 113. on new list with this win. if he make a final he will be 97. great!

he prefers to play on clay, but he is good on hard too.
he is very similar to guillermo coria's style. couches said that 3 year ago. now, who knows.
he will probably be like every other young player today. |

i hope borna can develop into a good player. i don't think pavic or delic are going to cut it on the pro tour

he will be top 10, (maybe even more), top 20 while other two will be top 50, top 100 (maybe not delic beacuse he hasn't that amount of money like pavic has).
coric will play vs gergery madarasz in the 1st round of novi sad. he beat him already half year ago in their's maiden meeting. after that he could face gerlakh again. i think borna can beat him this time. this will be borna's 5th match in 7 or 8 days, does he have enough power?... that will be interesting.

I didn't think Borna could do it, having lost to Gerlakh just last week in straights. And definitely not by that scoreline! Very impressive, this kid.
In the QF he plays the top seed, Krstin. That one's gonna be very tough! |
