Re: Andre Agassi's match moved to Sunday
Sky commentators were saying Agassi has been hitting indoors today and Cahill reports that Agassi is fine and infact feeling much better in comparison than the day after his first round against Pavel.
I think he would have actually preferred to play Becker today to have an extra day's rest. As now he will have to play Becker Sunday and then Verdasco or Roddick Monday.
I guess we can just hope he beats Becker quite easily and doesn't put too much stress on the back.

Me too, not only that but Nadal will be in the 4th round before 2nd round matches are over , great scheduling, haha.
Safin-Nalbandian should be center court match any day. Especially over Moodie-Nadal.

I just went out - its pouring. Obviously its still a possibility to get play in - anything is possible - but seriously doubt it.

Re: Ashe Court - Day Session Cancelled
90 and sunny in LA today LOL
As I said somewhere else, the reason why the original night session is still scheduled is $$$$$$$$$$. If they can play that session on Ashe, they don't have to exchange tickets, and that's loooooooots of money that they'd have to refund/exchange/whatever they do.

Please, New York weather isn't that bad. It has just been some bad luck.
And there is no place like New York.

Indeed - to both statements.
Its an awful idea to even think of having the US Open in LA. With no offense to Deb, but I don't want the US Open in a place where the fans sit politely and barely clap. I watched the DC against Chile - if they were any more quiet, I would have thought I was watching a church service rather than a sporting event.
And there is no place like NY. Its the greatest city in the US. By far. And the best thing about the US Open is the atmosphere - its wild!
So a big negative to moving the US Open. I'd fly all the way to Sydney for the Oz Open before I'd go to watch the US Open in LA.
What we need is a roof on AA stadium. But its not New Yorkers fault that the USTA was too greedy and chose to build a shrine to the wealthy over a roof when they built it.

Re: Andre Agassi's match moved to Sunday
I don't think the USO should be moved here, I was just saying that it's 90 and sunny here DC wasn't quiet at all, but that's a discussion for another day or thread
I read somewhere that the roof plan was gonna cost $100 million........ I mean, hard to blame them for passing that up.

I meant when they originally built the stadium. I realize now that it would be too costly to put on a roof. But I'm all for tearing it down and rebuilding it though.

Re: The Rain Haters thread
In the Baghdatis/Agassi match, there is a woman with black hair next to Steffi who is wearing the same blue jacket. Who is she?

Agreed, the money could be put to far better use in programs spread throughout the year rather than for a roof on a stadium used for 2 weeks.
