ah good.... usually if they mean shoved to the next day they say "postponed" instead of suspended.. so that's good.

Re: The Rain Haters Thread!!! (Weather Updates/Complaining)
It's only 9pm in NYC, still early enough to finish play as much as possible. But it's really weird.

Re: The Rain Haters Thread!!! (Weather Updates/Complaining)
it looks like play's resumed on all courts or will be soon... my guess is the removal from the SB And it saying "suspended" on the OP are pretty automatic things when it rains, just in the computer system or something when a delay is entered into the system.

Re: The Rain Haters Thread!!! (Weather Updates/Complaining)
If someone in the New York area wouldn't mind giving us a personalised weather update at some point, that would be great.
From the forecasts, it sounds like tennis will be in a very small window today if any gets played at all.

Re: The Rain Haters Thread!!! (Weather Updates/Complaining)
I live in Staten Island , about 25 miles from the BJKNTC.
IT is not raining right now but it is dark & threatning.
but it did rain during the night.
News says the rain will start again early afternoon or sooner.
Not looking good that the matches will be finished/completed today

Re: The Rain Haters Thread!!! (Weather Updates/Complaining)
there was a small window but the real havy rain is not even there. you can be sure it will rain when the matches are supposed to start.

Re: The Rain Haters Thread!!! (Weather Updates/Complaining)
weather.com shows that the chance for rain ramps up pretty high around 3 pm. Maybe if they move the second semi over to Armstrong and get them both on at 11 am they'll both get through.

US Open: Weather Updates
I thought I would make a thread so maybe anyone who's in New York or who knows about the weather situation there could provide some updates so we know when the matches start (and if they start today).
I checked on the US Open official website but I don't think they've updated it, expected start is 11 am (about two hours and a half from now).

Re: The Rain Haters Thread!!! (Weather Updates/Complaining)
would really appreciate anyone in the New York area giving us an up to date weather forecast - here in Blighty (GB) we are so far from the action! Any news on a chance for the semis today would be much appreciated.
