Default Is anybody in the top 10 playing good tennis these days?

1- husbanovic is playing like crap and don't seem to have a care in the world

2- Nadull has done nothing outside of rg besides fluking Madrid, he's crashed out of Wimbledon again and the gone into hiding.

3- Olderer is just plain old so can't fault him for that

4-Flukrinka has done nothing since Ao. He's so inconsistent, one minute he will be in GOD MODE the next minute he will be crashing out the 1st round of RG.

5- Birshit I have no idea what he's done since the start of the clay season.

6- Vulture can't even vulture anymore

7-Botnic easy draws

8- diva has just lost to jerzy!! Jerzy ffs. Need I say more

9-Murphy Guy hasn't even made a finals since Wimbledon last year and then hired muresmo

10-clownga One week wonder

Tsonga played okay for one tournament. The state of tennis has really been dire this year.

2014 have been a plague of bad form for most players. Most have injuries, some are just in slumps. It does put a little uncertainty in the game but I do hope for a little more consistency. In general though still a good year for the top players, with Djokovic winning Wimbledon and winning 3 Masters, Nadal winning RG again and winning a Master (although he could've lost that), Wawrinka winning AO and 1 Masters but also reaching his best in Wimbledon, Federer in good form (compared to last year) although has difficulty in winning big titles, Berdych winning a title again at last , Ferrer at least beating Nadal on Clay for once (although he does have a rough year), then Dimitrov and Raonic breaking through, then Tsonga winning his 2nd Masters title (the one that broke the Big Four monotony in Canada beating 4 Top 10 players in the process). It sure is uncertain but each Top 10er had something in their belt to be happy about compared to last year (maybe except Ferrer who has just won one title yet and Andy who hasn't even reached a Final both struggling in form throughout the year).

Tennis is not in a good place right now. Like, I love the unpredictability ATM but the cost seems to be high or even average quality play.

Definitely a down year and possibly the dawn of a transition era here..

Can't think of very high level of play displayed apart from Wawrinka MC title run + Djokovic both finals matches vs. Nadal in Miami and Rome+ Nadal vs. Murray in RG SF.

Despite what tards are saying to the contrary, Djokovic is actually playing worse than 2013, he is very far from his torrid Fall form to end the year on +20 winning streak..

Nothing wrong with losing to Janowicz.

Goes to show this season is more on uncertainty that a player could go hot and cold any time now and that consistency may not be the best this year but some good play could still show (although the Dimitrov-Janowicz was kind of messy).

Default Re: Is anybody in the top 10 playing good tennis these days?

We are just used to 4 guys only losing to eachother and winning every major tournament for years on end.

The end has come for the big 4, and now the struggle for domination has begun. Level may not be that great, but the uncertainty is refreshing.

It's weak era, probably will become strong again when Nadal will get another slip walk draw at hard court slam or after RG it'll definitely strong era, cycle continues ………

*Strong Era has very strong relationship with Sparta Warrior winning GS.
