This year Julian will be playing with Jurgen Melzer most of the time. He did play with Andy Ram in two tournaments and did well. Julian is really an excellent doubles players.
Oh thank you for answering!
I am super glad he is better, it is super difficult with loss of hearing yeah.
I hope he can get better this year Can't wait to see him in Montreal!

Julian and Jurgen have reached the semifinals in Miami and play Mirnyi/Ram today. They did not do well at the beginning of the year and seem to lose all the match tiebreaks they played. Now they seem to be doing great.
I am glad they will have support in Montreal. I will get to see them In Cinncinati.

I am in shock. I left the house after Alex won the first set 6-0 only to come home and find out he lost the next two 4-6, 3-6.

He and Jurgen lost later in the day in a match tiebreak. Darn.

I talked to Jurgen in Cincy and he said Julian will play in New Haven and the USO. He had a pulled muscle and wants it healed by the Davis Cup in Chili. I was very disappointed he was not in Cincy. Jurgen was so nice to me. I never got to see Oliver Marach in doubles and he reached the semi finals. The match against the Bryans must have been exciting. They played late at night and I had left the tournament by then. I did watch the finals of the doubles in Cincy and left after the Bryans had won the first ser and were leading in the second 6-5 and serving. When I reached my friends I found the Bryans had lost. I missed seeing some great tennis.

Both Julian and Jurgen are very nice. A couple of years ago I went to Indian Wells for the tennis and you can actually get on the court with the players when the match is over. Julian has a wonderful sense of humor and had us all laughing. Jurgen is quiet and very kind to me. Don't be afraid to talk to any player because they normally are all nice. I see from your signature we like many of the same players. I am also a fan of Phillipp Petzschner (met him in Memphis), Jeremy Chardy, Marlin Cilic and Frank Dancevic. I saw Frank a few years ago play the #1 seed in qualifying in Memphis and he won easily. I was very impressed by his game.

Oh wow, so did you get to play with them on court?
I've got some photos with players after they finished matches (I got one with Jeremy this year, but he looked exhausted haha!! It's still nice of him though )
Julian is really my favorite player, he has such a personality! He's one of a kind. And I'm not scared to talk to them, but I don't know what to say most of the time So I ask for photos and wish them luck, or compliment them on their last match.
I love love love Philipp He was so nice to me here in Montreal. He's got all the weapons, and he's a doubles player (something I really appreciate nowadays considering men don't play both doubles and singles much anymore). He's got a nice personality too =)
Jeremy is also my other favorite Marin is nice, I like his big game. And Frank, well he's our Canadian hero!! He's got a nice game!
What is your name? I'm Matt.

Matt, I am Barbara. When we got on the court with them we just chatted with them. I had met two friends in California and we all visited with Jurgen and Julian. J & J were then asked to play a few games with some folks that had won a contest. Jurgen had a young boy as his partner and Julian had an older man. Jurgen was so sweet to the boy chatting with him to put him at ease. I am afraid I did not watch Julian, but his partner had no idea how to hit the ball. The youong boy did okay. I thought it was great of J & J to do that.
I like that Phillipp plays doubles. He was pArtnered with Alex Peya in Memphis. Alex is another of my favorites. Phillipp was having problems with his wrist at the time and they lost early. I think Phillipp is kind of off the screen as far as tennis players go. He is going to surprise a lot of folks by how well he plays and how high a ranking he achieves.
I have not actually seen Jeremy play. His match was so crowded I could not get in to see. I Watched a little through the fence and he is impressive.

That is super great What I wouldn't give to rally a bit with J&J!
And it's true, I think Philipp has a nice future ahead of him. We shall see. Hopefully he can pierce through in doubles or singles at a slam soon

Did you see Phillipp won his match today. It took 5 sets. I was sad to see Chardy lose. they showed a lot of his match.

Guess I should mention that Austrian Dan Koellerer won today.

Stefan Koubek has gotten married. He married his long time girlfriend in a quiet ceremony. They will honeymoon after the Davis Cup.

his quote is from and Austrian web site.
Koubek wedding came as a surprise for him. "He has married a surprise for everyone." A special ceremony there will be no but. "The only celebration, which we would all like to treat here, the victory celebration, because we can then connect," said Schaller

Jurgen Melzer has his girlfriend Mirna Jukic with him in Chile. She has been travelilng with him for the past month. Mirna is an Olympic and World bronze metal winner in the Breast stroke. I met her in Cincinnati and she is perfect for Jurgen IMO.

Finally a point for Austria in their Davis cup match against Chile.

Knowle/Melzer df Capdeville/Massu 6-2, 6-4, 6-3

Now all Aussrian fans must cross your fingers that Stefan and Jurgen can win their matches tomorrow. I will be very difficult.
