Bad news i'm afraid. Chramosta continued his incredible run here and beat Martin 6-4 6-3. I couldn't see much of the match cos of the dumbass set-up of the tournament :retard: but from what i saw, Martin didn't perform well today whereas Chramosta stayed at a high level.
Still, I think both Martin and Andreas can get a lot higher up those rankings and i'm sure to be cheering them all the way
MOst of the Austrains who played today won. But something seems to be happening with Aspelin/Knowle. They lost today to Blake/Healy in Basel today. I am not sure but I think it is the first time Blake/Healy have played together. The teams that are together for the first time seem to give Simon and Julian trouble.
Jurgen is partners with Aspelin old partner Perry. They did well winning their first match together iln St. Petersburg.
In Paris Aspelin/Knowle seem to have found out how to win again. They have reached the semi-finals by defeating Kerr/Sa 7-6(3), 6-3. Next they play the Bryans and they will have to play their best to win.
In Aachen, Germany Alex Peya won the doubles title. He and Petzschner df Meffert/Zverev 6-3, 6-2. That makes me happy because Alex appears to be a very good doubles player and since next year he and Jurgen Melzer will play together every chance they get, they should do well.
Austrian doubles kicks arse. Wow I think my grammar was terrible just then...
Great to hear about Jurgen and Peya. In terms of hairstyles, that could be a fantastic combination. In terms of actual talent, I'm sure it will be. Simon and Julian is practically a dream team for me (nationalities), just need Oli to find a regular partner / get that ranking up there.
Really looking forward to seeing Werner next year. Really looking forward to seeing pretty much any Austrian next year...
hahaha don't you worry, I'll be there with my camera/s!
I posted this in the Oli thread for some reason... but do you know if I posted my Aus Open photos of Jurgen anywhere? I don't want to delete my Austrian photos til I know they're somewhere that others can access them.
Come on, you can do it Sim & Jul!!!
