Re: What ethnicity are you?
I'm mixed (i hate this word btw. How come English language which is so huge from 'loaning' words from every language doesn't have a correct one like the French "métissge", the Spanish "mestisaje" etc...?). White Madagascan mother being a "zanatany" from one of the white families who stayed after decolonisation. My father is a Black Madagascan, a tsimiety, (not one of those from the high "plateaux" who're of Indonesian decent). I have no ethnicity in fact or two of them, depending on how you see it which is fantastic.
My parents are bilingual since birth, both in Madagascan and French and i'm a French speaker since i was 5/6 years old and i've come to live in France first part time and then full time. That's why i am often among the Frenchies of this board.

Re: What ethnicity are you?
Born in Australia and lived here all my life, but have more English blood in me. Mum is English and all of her side of the family is English for as far back as the family tree goes. My Dad was born in Australia but his parents are also English. My Dad's grandmother however was Polish so I'm 1/8th Polish too
I have a dual citizenship for Australia and England too so I consider myself both.

Yes (not the retarded part) and that's acceptable within British Commonwealth countries.

I'm curious, though, and don't take this the wrong way, but those of you with a huge variety in their "ethnic mix" (3 or more), do you speak the language of the country you reside in? the lang. of the country you feel you belong to? where you were raised? the higher %? ALL of them?
|
Most of my family that I know speaks English, and I learned French because I felt like it I speak some German(but not much) because I have relatives that speak it but they live in Germany so I never got very good at it. No Slovak though
