Re: You can be betterer than Federer! I believe in you.(Andy's US Open Thread!!!!)
Roddick is death tired, it's over here . Even though imo he's the more fit guy and can withstand longer matches/heat etc when you try and beat someone like Federer you simply expend SO much more energy that it seems like you're not physicaly fit and that Roger is incredibly fit.
Roger breaks, end of the match. Nicely done though he really pushed Federer hard, and he ALWAYS makes ROger play his absolute best vs him. Roger plays his worst tennis vs Nadal (which really helps Nadal beat him) but Roger never lets up vs Andy, big meanie! Honestly thought that Roddick was gonna be blown off the court so pushing this to 4 sets and, first set aside, making this such an intense battle is nice to see. Federer needs to stop dominating though please I wanna start to LIKE mens tennis again.

Don't see it happening though. But he did better than I ever expected today and these last 2 weeks.

At least he came full circle from last year.
I'm really thinking that I should stay away from GM for a few days.

Well, this match is over. Good fight anyway, Andy I agree, Deb, I haven't seen Andy's power forehand at all this tournament. I wish it would come back.
He looks so exhausted out there. I think being so nervous in that first set really sucked all of the energy out of him and that's just a shame. He could've made a great match of this.
Still, very impressive that he even made it to the finals. How many players have made the final of the slam that they crashed out of in the first round the year before? Probably not many.

The results have shown."

it's the only thing that really makes me about this. And it's just baffling... that shot was his bread and butter, and the tough matches he had all tourney would maybe not have been as tough and maybe today would've been a bit different if he'd just hit through that one single shot more. Sigh.

the thing is that I actually thought that he'd win
I mean like no doubt in my mind about it
other times I was like
