Russ beat Baker 6-1 7-6 and faces the resurgent Canadian Frederic Niemeyer in the final. Let's make it three for three challenger titles on the year Mike!

Time to make it 3 challengers in a row and career high ranking shouldn't be out of the question.

4 challengers in a row It's his 3rd challenger this year and he also won the last challenger he played in 2006

Yes, I know he won Hawaii last year, but this year is what counts and so far so good.

With this win, Russ has 3 challenger titles on the year and has a whopping 18-1 record (not including his retirement against Sweeting) and is 38-3 in sets w/l. This should take him up to about 84 in the world rankings beating his previous career high of 85.

Another win in the challengers without losing a set.

Mike is on the alternate list for Acapulco and Las Vegas, but I for one would like him to go to Acapulco and he can hang with his friend Kevin Kim, but the question whether they will give him a WC in Vegas.

I don't feel quite as bad about missing Mike in San Jose now!

Mike should really be able to win several matches on the main tour.

I asked the rankings guru and it seems that Mike will be ranked around 80th when the rankings come out tomorrow.

A career high, well done man.

wow, really dominating the challenger tour; I would love to see him more often at the "real" tournaments
anyone knowing when he will play one of those?

well now that his ranking will be well inside the top 100 he should have no problem getting into ATP-level events. So hopefully soon
